Associate Clinical Director

School-Based Programs Coordinator

The Associate Director of  School-Based Programs is responsible for assisting in the agency's overall clinical mental health programs, in accordance with this agency's vision, mission, and values, as well as the management and supervision of clinical interns and trainees, treatment services, and all relevant regulatory compliance. This position will ensure that quality clinical services are being provided to clients and that the services meet or exceed all compliance requirements with the various governing and contracted agencies. This position reports directly to the Clinical Director.


  • Provide minimum of  5 hours of clinical supervision to interns/trainees -  individual and group
  • Plan and oversee didactic training program for interns/trainees
  • Assist in recruitment and hiring of prospective school-based interns
  • Interface with school sites in support of the program and assigned interns
  • Assist in planning and conducting orientation of new interns
  • Provide supplies for each school site as needed
  • Monitor intern records and program compliance
  • Coordinate program startup and year-end closure
  • Represent the agency on the District’s School Attendance Review Board
  • Attend agency staff meetings, therapist consultation, and supervisor meetings
  • Assist Clinical Director with other school-based or agency activities as needed
  • Provide clinical services to a minimum of 5 clients

Qualifications and Skills

  • Current and valid California clinical license: MFT, LPCC, Clinical Psychologist, PPS credential a plus
  • Licensed in California or any other state for at least 2 years
  • Clinical practice for a minimum of 2 of the last 5 years
  • Extensive clinical experience working with children and teens
  • Knowledge of, and experience working with, K-12 schools
  • Experience supervising interns or  trainees
  • Exceptional leadership skills and ability to work with multidisciplinary team and community partners
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills

The Associate Director - School-Based Programs position is a part-time/20 hours per week, salaried position.

Compensation is based on skills and experience.
