Mindfullness Based

Stress Reduction for Teens

(MBSR-T)

The MBSR-T Group is not currently enrolling any more students for the Spring classes but if you would like to find out more details and information on when the NEXT class might be held, please contact the group facilitator below.

Founded in 2004 by Gina Biegel (www.stressedteens.com) Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction for Teens has been demonstrated through research to be effective and evidence-based intervention to reduce adolescent stress and the physical and psychological problems that result.
Teens often have difficulty with their relationships, emotions, confidence, procrastination, impulsiveness and attention. This program can improve a teen's functioning and quality of living socially, physically and psychologically.

In this 8-class psycho educational series, your teen will learn...
  • To identify how he or she experiences stress, both emotionally and physically, and how to dial down those responses.
  • To apply what is learned to de-stress in school and social situations.
  • How to deal with situations such as social media and homework through mindful group discussions.
  • Mindfulness practices that are adapted for teens.
